Galveston Bachelorette Party – Part Three of Three

09/09/2016 By Heather Leave a Comment

In Part Three of our weekend festivities, I figured I would share all of the things that didn’t go as planned because let’s keep it real here… things rarely go 100% perfectly as planned, right?!

If you missed the first two parts, go here:  Part One    Part Two

Here was our original timeline of events:

Galveston Bachelorette Party

The first day and night (Saturday) were super fun and everyone seemed to have a great time.  We played some games, ate lunch at Little Daddy’s Gumbo Bar, and then had a late dinner at Gaido’s.  I think Saturday turned out great; however, Sunday did not really go as planned at all.

I woke up and started vomiting, which was absolutely awful and lasted all day.  I thought maybe I had too much wine the night before but when it wouldn’t stop after a few hours, I knew it had to be something else.  At first I was thinking it was food poisoning (I had seafood Saturday night), but now I’m not so sure, since I’m still not feeling very well several days after the weekend.  I still don’t know what’s going on, but I’ve been nauseous every day since Sunday and have been battling a sore throat as well, so I think I may actually be sick.  🙁  I do think it is finally getting a little better, so hopefully I am on the mend!

On Sunday as well, Feven found out that her sister had gone into labor with her first baby!  So Connie rushed Feven off to the airport, and luckily, she made it to the hospital just a few hours after her sister had given birth.  Both baby boy and mother are doing well!  Congrats to Feven on becoming an aunt!!

After the trip to the airport, I still wasn’t feeling that great, so Connie and Amanda went to the beach for a couple of hours.  We had pizza at the house that night and just visited for a bit.

The next morning, we checked out of the house and had breakfast at The Sunflower Bakery & Cafe, which was pretty good!  After that, we headed home and the weekend was over.

Although nothing went as planned on the second day, it was still a fun weekend overall, and I’m so thankful that we had one good, fun day celebrating with Connie!  Of course, I wish we could have a do over, especially since I had planned so many other things, but that’s just what happens sometimes and you have to go with the flow and be flexible.

Here’s some other things that did not work out:

Sunset Cruise – I had originally planned for us to go on a sunset cruise on Saturday evening; unfortunately, when I went to book the tickets, there were only 4 seats left, and we needed 7.  I waited and hoped and prayed all week that someone would cancel their reservation, but unfortunately, it never happened.  I was extremely bummed and stressed out a few days before the weekend, but I had to come up with an alternate plan.

Crafts – That alternate plan was a couple of craft ideas because who doesn’t like being crafty from time to time?  I came up with two crafts, one for Saturday and one for Sunday.  On Saturday, we were supposed to make some coasters from tiles and scrapbook paper, and on Sunday, we were going to make some body scrub and foot scrub, which I really wanted to do!  Unfortunately, we never ended up getting to do either craft, so now I have a ton of coasters to make and body scrub supplies, so don’t be surprised if that’s your Christmas gift this year.  😉

Music – During our crafts, I planed to play a little bit of some fun tunes in the background.  Here’s my list from Spotify in case you need some fun songs for a girl’s night.

Movies – Sunday evening was supposed to be a stay at home, eat pizzas and watch a movie night.  We ended up not watching a movie and just visited instead, but I had already come up with a list of girly movies we could watch.

Although things didn’t go exactly as planned and we weren’t able to do everything on my list, I really hope Connie enjoyed her bachelorette weekend in Galveston, which she said she did!  Now, on to the wedding, which will be in 50 days!!!!  It’s almost time, Connie & Yung!!
