Photography is one of my favorite hobbies, but I honestly don’t spend enough time doing it. I really need to change that though! It’s funny how life just gets in the way, and then eventually you stop really having hobbies… or at least that’s what has happened to me in the last couple of years. I still take a lot of photos around our home and of flowers in the yard, but I find myself not venturing out enough to explore and photograph the world around us, so I really need to make that more of a priority this year!
Here’s a list of my current photography gear:
- Nikon D750 – I purchased it before our trip to Italy in 2015 (recap and photos coming soon)
- Battery Grip
- Nikon SB 600
- Nikon 105mm
- Nikon 85mm
- Nikon 20mm
- Nikon 14-24mm
- Nikon 24-70mm
- Nikon 70-300mm
I am currently longing for either a 35mm 1.4 or 50mm 1.4. The 50mm is a lot cheaper, but I just don’t know if I want that one or the more expensive 35mm. Other than that, I think I’m pretty set on lenses for the time being, especially since I haven’t been photographing as much lately.
I have a ton of camera straps as well. My favorite pretty ones are from Bloom Theory, but my ultimate travel camera strap is by Black Rapid (similar to this one). It’s an across the body strap, and it’s a total life saver when you are traveling and wearing a camera all day, every day on your trip.
Here’s some of my current favorite flower photos:
- Light Pink rose
- Salvia
- Quince
- Tuscan Sun Rose
