Jacob turned 30 in November, so I planned a little fun for his special day. I treated him to 30 gifts he had to open on his 30th birthday, and I can say that he was completely surprised. It was so fun to surprise someone and show how much they mean to you with all of the extra little gifts. 30 gifts is a lot, and some were bigger items, but some costs less than $5, so it was a good mix.
Since he loves the New Orleans Saints, I decided on the black, white and gold color scheme. I purchased some decorations from Target and made some of the stuff myself as well.
I had already started decorating for Christmas, so I wrapped all of his gifts early, and he thought they were Christmas gifts. Sneaky idea, right?
I ordered his favorite Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory and had it delivered just before his birthday. I picked up a small cake and cupcakes as well, and created some cupcake toppers to add a little bit of personalization to the gift table.
Overall, I think he really enjoyed getting spoiled for his birthday. You only turn 30 once, so you might as well make it a special day for yourself or someone else!
