February is more than halfway over, so I thought it would be a good time to check in and see what things on my to do list have been accomplished. If you missed my original post, you can find it here.
For the month of February, I have 5 things I’d like to get done:
Fix our horrible landscaping – needs new mulch badly!
- Build an outdoor tv cabinet
Move the new desk into my office
- Hang the wine chandelier
- Replace the fence
So far, we’ve accomplished 2 out of 5 things on the list. Jacob worked so hard for two weekends straight to replace all of the mulch in our never-ending flowerbeds, and it looks absolutely fantastic!! I can’t wait to start adding a few flowers here and there. Once everything is blooming and colorful, it’s going to be so beautiful!
I moved my desk into my office the other day, and now I’m convinced I need another one to put next to it. It would make the ultimate desk and space for me to do my invitations and cutting. I love, love, love the desk, and I know when that room is complete, I’ll want to work in there every day for my business.
To be honest, I don’t think the fence will get done this month, and I’m okay with that, but hopefully we can tackle it in March before it gets too hot.
The chandelier is something that should be easy to do, so I’m hopeful this one will get done ASAP. Maybe this weekend?! I really don’t think it should be too hard to hang. We just need to buy the right mounting stuff for it. I’m being really technical here, huh?!
I’d still really love to build the outdoor tv cabinet. There’s still time to work on it, but we need to start on it soon if we really plan to finish it by the end of the month. I know it’ll take a little while for the stain to dry and then of course we have to figure out how to hang it and hang the tv in it. Fingers crossed we can get it done before February is over!
I’m really thrilled with our progress so far. Once February is over, I’m hoping to make another short list for March. Maybe that’ll help me stay on track, get organized and fall in love with the space where we live. March will be a bit of a busy month for us, so I don’t think I’ll put too much on our plate, but a few things should be easy to get done without too much effort.
Have you tackled any projects this month that you’re proud of? Share in the comments. I would love to see!
