Every year when the weather turns absolutely gorgeous in Louisiana, I always set out to give our back patio area a little makeover. I try to add some greenery (palm and succulents) and pops of color here and there to make it more homey.
This year, we added a hammock chair we got from a White Elephant game with Jacob’s family during Christmas. I love this hammock. Not only is it absolutely the most comfortable thing ever, but the colors match our outdoor space perfectly! The blue goes with our rugs, and the green goes with the greenery I’ve been adding with the plants. Perfect, right?! I think so. Plus, it’s a great place to read a book or do a little work on the computer, but I prefer reading in that space. 😉
I love decorating our table in fun, happy colors. Bright colors make me happy, so I call them “happy colors” if you haven’t caught on with that just yet!
This year, I was trying super hard to stick with things I already own for the table decor, but that went out the window when I stumbled upon these super cute place mats that have tassels! Aren’t they adorable??!! LOVE THEM!!
The plates are old and are all from different places: Target and Hobby Lobby, and the glasses were a great find from Marshall’s last year. They’re plastic, which is perfect for the outdoors, but they still look really nice and “upscale.”
I picked up some fresh bright pink Carnations from the grocery store. I absolutely love carnations because they last for weeks, especially if you pick them up early enough before they’ve all opened up! TIP: Alstroemeria also last a really long time too if you can’t find Carnations. The billy buttons are from our wedding! <3
I’m still working on this space, but I love how it looks so far! Do you give your outdoor spaces a mini makeover during the Spring? Send me a link to your photos of your outdoor decor!
